Pictures & Poems #12
Sef alias -//\\- has made some wonderful poems to some of my pictures.
Here's a collection.

Frozen waterfall
by Lars

Winter clings to the wind,
keeping me shut inside and
sleeping under warm blankets.
Although besieged by
storm and weathered,
this little house is
still my home sweet home.
I have no idea where
the years have gone;
It's as if they never were.

From Shadowland
by Lars

Becoming
A shadow of a man melting into
Darkness.
His shadow merges with
leaves, twigs, and filtered sunlight.
Waiting for snowbears to hibernate,
he anticipates cool, fresh snow flakes
On his brow.
Next spring a patch of golden yellow crocus.

Greener than green
by Lars

Along Lars' lake shore early this spring:
These trees are greener than green!
They're the greenest green ever seen!!!
What, I wonder, does such a supercolossal
greener than green thing mean?
And do these trees,
"across the road between
toward each other lean?
Wait! Did I hear that bluebird up there reply
that there's more to this green than seen by eye?
But never mind the cause of such splendid green,
Just look at the gleam, the joyful spring,
the beauty of this scene has put to my mien!

Deep philosophy
by Lars

hahahaha Dr. Puddles discover weird danish puddles
With deep philosophical powwows he huddles
Then he bring in science of Big Chief Befuddles
To clarify the findings he finds so subtle.
What a mess!
What a mess!
He throws up his hands and bows out
Leaving them all in great doubt
Is he is or is he ain't,
Can he can or can he can't?
Will he will or will he won't
Does he do or does he don't?
Nobody knows but old Dr. Puddles
About a poodle known only as "cuddles."
Who splashes through them danish muddles
Making more muddy the Doctor's deep puddles.

Before sunset
by Lars

Twilight waits for a while letting the birds have
just one more hour to sing.
The setting sun ever so slowly lowers
itself toward the distant dark treetops.
It blazes brightly;
But soon black night will come and bring a
million, zillion stars and another golden moon!
Finally at last the darker curtain falls...
Somewhere out there a whippoorwill calls..
Now the day just gone
Seems so ordinary.
How could it compare?
To this!?

?
by Lars

It's the beginning of
Windy March!
Violets, dragonflies, and Butterflies become all
Mixed UP!
Which is which , O wise Mr. Antiquitous Lion?
Which is which!???
"I don't know," quoth said Lion.
"I don't KNOW!"

Lovely aromas float in the air
Where violets and butterflies fly
The winds of march sweep winter away
As the warmth of spring blows breezily by!

Just a tree
by Lars

White Snowbirds flying
From far away
Rosy fingered dawn
Bringing day
White Snowbirds flocking
In to see
If home can be in
Just a tree.

Fall 2007
by Lars

A big duck swimming
One last day before a freeze
Ducks don't do winter
Ducks will fly away
When winter comes creeping in
Turning lakes to ice

---ooOoo---

When the ducks landed
On the lake nearby
I asked the biggest duck,
"Why do you ducks fly in a
V shaped formation?"
He said,
"Quack!"

Meeting the Antiquity
by Lars

Medusa.
Horrible one,
Monstrous.
No such a one.
Erased.
Gone.
Vanished in:
Antiquity

Meeting the Antiquity

All humanity
In antiquity
Being held up by the power
of blue Hardwood.

Meeting the Antiquity
by Lars

Oh that is so beautiful... its like all the seasons and also it's
like the next spring after
Winter winds blew a
forest fire through
Burnt the tall trees bare
The following spring
Brought birds to sing,
And violets! Everywhere!

That trail looks like all the wonderful
trails everywhere which makes it exactly
like our favorite old trail we have so happily
walked so many times... :-)
Today we traveled into tomorrow
Where Antiquity was yesterday
